Tips for Capturing to Evernote

Moleskine

Follow these steps to get good results capturing from Moleskine to Evernote.

  1. Write clearly with dark ink for best handwriting recognition.
  2. Lay the notebook flat on a dark background. Edges of the page will be detected automatically as long as there is a contrast between the page and background.
  3. Lay the green bookmark string flat between the two pages so the page edge is detected and cropped.
  4. Turn on your device's flash and capture images in good, even background light (between many lights, or in indirect sunlight).
  5. Always use the Page Camera feature in the latest version of Evernote.
    • Move your device so that the page just fills the Page Camera rectangular guide, and so that the camera is pointing straight at the photo (device parallel to the page). This ensures solid focus and good resolution.
    • Focus your device's camera (if available, usually by tapping screen) immediately before capturing an image.
    • Shoot one page at a time.

Capture some pages and get ready to review them next using the Image Gallery.
