When should I upgrade?
Upgrade when you have some time to orient yourself to the new Evernote interface. Your computer will offer the updated version of Windows the next time it checks for updates or you can manually check for updates from the Help menu.
Can I continue using the old version of Evernote for Windows Desktop?
Yes, but there will be no future improvements to the old version of Evernote for Windows Desktop. We will continue to offer the previous version for download on our website for a short time.
How long will it take for me to upgrade?
The download of the Evernote application is approximately 50 MB. After that, typical users will need an additional 5-10 minutes for notes to update, but larger accounts may take longer.
Where is the Favorites bar?
The Favorites bar is replaced with Shortcuts. You can drag notes, notebooks, stacks, tags, and saved searches to Shortcuts.
How do I use Reminders?

Can I show my full notebook or tag list on the left pane?
Click the small triangle next to Notebooks or Tags on the left pane to expand the full list. You can drag notes onto that list to organize.
Is the new version faster or slower than previous Evernote for Windows Desktop?
The new version is just as quick as the previous version of Evernote.
Will this affect Evernote on my phone or tablet?
You won't see any changes on your other Evernote devices, except you will notice that Shortcuts are synced across all your devices.
