What’s New in Evernote for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch
Beautiful and functional
Beautiful and functional
Our designers researched every detail for this redesign and rethought everything. Animations are smooth, fonts are gorgeous, and everything is where it should be.
Home Screen with everything you need
We maximized the screen space dedicated to your text and notes to help you get organized. Not only do you have fast access to your shortcuts, notes, notebooks, and tags, but we show you the most recently-updated of each.
Create notes fast
Quicknote Reminders, lists, checklists, and more
Create new notes fast with one press of the Quicknote button.
Just start typing
Whether you start a new note from the Quicknote bar or the + button, you can now start typing as soon as the note editor opens.
Format text easily
Add checkboxes, bullets, text formatting, and even attachments from buttons right above your keyboard.
Mark up images and PDFs inside Evernote
Mark up images
Give fast feedback any time by tapping on attached images and using the new markup tools.
Overlay arrow, shapes, text, stamps, and more on any images in your notes.
Tool and color bubbles expand to let you select what you need by swiping you finger up or down.
Organize and share images
Since everything is in Evernote, annotated images are saved, searchable, and easy to share them with friends or colleagues.
Evernote Premium and Business users may also annotate documents, contacts, scans, and more with the PDF markup feature. Free Evernote users get 30 days to try this feature.
Better notebook and tag browsing
Show your personal notebooks and Evernote Business Notebooks in a single list. Tap Edit to easily share your notebooks or subscribe to Reminders and emails in joined notebooks.
Tags appear darker depending on how often they are used.
Notes stay up-to-date
Evernote keeps your notes updated even when the app is not active. If you edit and sync on your computer, you'll see those changes when you open your iOS device. If you're a Premium or Business user, your notes are updated in the background when internet is available so you have the most recent versions when you open Evernote when you're offline.
Share notes through AirDrop
AirDrop lets you share things with people near you, and now you can use it to share notes with others. In any note, tap the share icon and choose AirDrop. You’ll see the people near you who have AirDrop enabled. Choose one or more of them, and share away.
