Collecting the System Information

When you have a problem that requires technical support by the Evernote support center, you can use the [Collect System Info] feature of ScanSnap Evernote Edition Support Tool to obtain basic information about your computer which may help solve the problem.

If you are asked to provide the system information, perform the following procedure to collect the system information and compress its data, and then send it as an email attachment.

  1. Collect the system information by using the ScanSnap Evernote Edition Support Tool.

From the sidebar in Finder, select [Applications] [ScanSnap Evernote Edition] [Sub] and double-click [ScanSnap Evernote Edition Support Tool].

The [ScanSnap Evernote Edition Support Tool] window appears.

  2. Click the [Collect] button in the [Investigate] tab.

    ATTENTION

    • To collect information on the ScanSnap, connect the ScanSnap to the computer, and then open the ADF paper chute (cover) to turn on the ScanSnap.

    • When the Scan button on the ScanSnap is flashing in orange, you may not be able to obtain the system information even if you click the [Collect] button.

In that case, close the ADF paper chute (cover) to turn off the ScanSnap, then open the ADF paper chute (cover) to turn it back on. Then, click the [Collect] button.
